Areas where ICTs are used
Information and Communication Technologies are used in many areas like education, medicine, business, sports and much more. Basically, everyone uses ICT every day and sometimes we don’t even know it. Here are some specific examples of the usages of ICT in various areas:
Education
- Teachers use many different programs such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel to create presentations for their students.
- Students use the Internet to look for information related to the topic they are seeing in class.
- We use computers and iPads in order to create activities that our teacher ask us.
Business
- Employees bring innovations to the company and they make slideshows to present their activities.
- Analysts makes bar or pie graphs to compare the income won this month and the one last month.
- Printers are used to make copies or to print works.
Medicine
- Doctors use machines and inventions to cure ill or wounded persons.
- Nurses use gloves, face masks and other equipment to care for the sick persons.
- Scientists create new medicines by combining bacteria and viruses.
Sport
- All type of balls, cleats, uniforms, gloves and other sport equipment are made from highly-advanced material.
- Referees communicate with each other through high-tech radios and speakers throughout a game.
- In soccer, goal-line technology, and very recently, Video Assistant Referee (VAR), are technological advances that were created thanks to ICT.
In conclusion, ICTs are very important for our daily life. We use them in practically everything we do and in every place we are. In school, in work, or at home, Information and Communication Technologies help us thomework, activities and other personal works. ICTs are fundamental for our daily life and without them life would be much more difficult and challenging.
